Local Things to See

We hope you come for the weekend and enjoy our favorite activities.

  • Twisp's Farmers Market is from 9:00 am to noon on Saturdays in Twisp, at the old school house right on Highway 20. You can’t miss it. You will find local fruit and vegetables, goat cheese, jams, pickles, crafts and artwork.
  • Cedar Creek Trail is an easy to moderate hike with a spectacular waterfall at the end. The trail does continue into the National Forest, so stop when you can see and hear the thundering falls. It is 1.75 miles one way and a little under 1,000 feet in elevation gain.
  • Lost River Winery is the local winery and we will be serving their wine at our wedding. The tasting room in open 11:00 am to 5:00 daily and there is no tasting fee.
  • Blue Star Coffee Roasters is located in Twisp and has terrific coffee that is roasted every week. Great hot and cold coffee drinks, and be sure to take some home!
  • Shopping in downtown Winthrop

There is a great old fashion independent bookstore that is always worth browsing in. The French Quail is a clothing boutique that has really fun, unique clothes. Its sister store, The Courtyard Quail, is across the street and carries home décor and accessories. The Glass Shop makes beautiful hand blown pieces and sometimes the artist is working in his studio. Many don’t consider a trip to Winthrop complete without a stop at Sherry’s Sweet Shoppe and Ice Cream when they weary from shopping.

There is a golf course in Winthrop.

Horseback riding can be found at the Sun Mountain Lodge nearby.

    Restaurants

We don’t eat out very often, as the food at Lisa’s cabin is highly rated! However, we highly recommend the Twisp River Pub and it is where we eat when we do go out. The food and beer is very good.

The Schoolhouse Brewery is a good option in Winthrop. Average burgers and salads and very good beer.
